East Coast CR 914 Regatta Series
.
This is the brain child of Ernest Freeland, David Ramos and Chuck Luscomb.
.
The intent for 2010 is to tie three 2-day regattas together and add an incentive in the way of a perpetual trophy, for those who do not normally travel to throw their boats in the back of the vehicles and participate in events outside of their on clubs.
.
The EC-12 class has been doing this regionally on the East Coast for many years. They have developed this type of event to the extent that their series or (CUP) is per-region. Region 1 is the New England Cup, Region 2 is the Colonial Cup, The Dixie Cup is the Carolinas and Georgia, and the Florida Champions Cup is in Florida. Beyond winning their regional Cup the class hosts a Champions Invitational Cup where the top five cup finishers from each region capable of attending the event are invited to an early spring event, the Champions Regatta. We the CR 914 class are not quite at this point for the 2010 season.
.
To participate in this series you need to do nothing except attend one, two, or all three of the scheduled events for the 2010 season. There is no additional cost or fee associated with the series.
.
.
.
Regattas eligible to participate must be 2-day events and will be posted before the beginning of that years series.Brian Jobson has volunteered to be the scorekeeper. For the 2010 Season three events will constitute the East Coast CR 914 Regatta Series.
